As Tori Spelling prepares to welcome a brand new baby girl into her family next week, the 35-year-old actress is also welcoming son Liam, 14-months, to toddlerhood. In a new blog entry for Graco Tori said that Liam is already displaying some hallmark toddler behaviors — like working the crowd and mimicking his mom and dad, actor Dean McDermott.
Liam just started waving his finger at me and saying ‘No, No, No.’ It makes me laugh hysterically. And, he’s so perceptive that whenever he does something that garners laughter, he keeps doing it.
Tori said tradition is important to she and Dean as they grow their family. The couple hope to carry on traditions that they had when they were children, like reading Goodnight Moon to Liam at bedtime, as well as start traditions of their own, like nightly family dinners. That’s where Tori said she will someday “have an open dialogue about life” with their children.
Family dinners are a tradition that I want to start with my family. Growing up we didn’t have family dinners all the time and I think they are very important…I want my kids to always feel safe that they can express themselves and talk to us about everything.
Another tradition-in-the-making, at least for now, involves the morning wake-up routine of their son — Something Tori singled out as a daily highlight.
When he wakes up we bring him into our room and we give him his bottle in bed with us. He nestles right in the middle of us and the 3 of us watch cartoons (age and learning appropriate, of course!). It’s by far my favorite time of day.
When he’s not hanging out in his bumper jumper — which Tori said is Liam’s favorite place to burn off some excess toddler energy– Liam is busy exploring and learning about new things. Seeing the world through a child’s eyes has been a revelation for Tori and Dean.
Since becoming a mom, I’ve realized that there are so much more important things in life than ourselves and what we have going on. When you see life created and watch it learn and appreciate the small things, it really puts things into perspective for you. Being a mom gives me the chance to relive things through Liams eyes and appreciate things that I never took the time to appreciate.

Perez Hilton is reporting the following about Tori’s role in the upcoming 90210 spin-off.
We told y’all that Tori Spelling was definitely heading back to 90210 (2.0) as Donna Martin.
Now, we can now reveal what her character will be up to in the spinoff!
According to a CW network source, Donna will be the owner of one of the coolest stores in Beverly Hills, a shopping hot spot that is frequented by the new cast of characters.
Spelling will be appearing several times throughout the season, but she will not be a series regular.
Jennie Garth will also make sporadic appearances too. Her character, Kelly, now works as a guidance counselor at the high school.
Sounds exciting! Can’t wait to see Tori and Jennie back on 90210!

The plot thickens! Or at least the cast list for CW’s new 90210 spinoff thickens!
Sources close to Big Green tell me that Tori Spelling will join former castmate Jennie Garth in the new series. After asking to guest star on the series, sources tell me that she has been written into the pilot. In that first ep, Tori cameos with a few lines in a brief shopping scene with the girls.
Ian Ziering
I’m told that Ian Ziering, aka Steve Saunders, is also very interested in signing on. In fact, I’m hearing that both Tori, Ian and their “people” have been reaching out to producers and the network on a almost daily basis to see where the situation with the show stands!
Awww…the gang’s (almost) all here!
Jennie Garth
As for Jennie’s part in all this, I’m hearing she was originally supposed to be a series regular, but she would only sign on as a recurring character to start. She wants to see how the show does before committing to a specific number of episodes.
Worth noting: None of the original castmembers wanted to be the first to sign on, but once Jennie went for it, they followed suit. Always a leader, that Kelly!
Luke Perry
From what I’m hearing, many of the original castmembers are expected to make cameos at one point or another. Dare we hope for some Jason Priestley or Luke Perry action while we’re here?
Are you excited about Tori and Ian signing up for some guest work of their own? Y/N?

Tori Spelling’s wish to star in the planned Beverly Hills, 90210 spin-off series may come true - she is in negotiations to reprise her breakthrough role in the new show. The actress first found fame playing Donna Martin in the hit high school drama, which ran from 1990 to 2000. And after hearing of plans to revive the defunct series in a new spin-off show, the star has been desperate to land a part - even offering to play the role of a sexy mom. Now, Spelling - whose late father, TV producer Aaron Spelling, created the original show - admits she would love make a comeback with her pal Jennie Garth. She tells People.com, “Jennie is already on board for the series and we have been in touch about it. I would love to see our characters together again and get the chance to work with my friend again.” Spelling also claims it was her late father’s wish to see the hit 1990s show make a comeback She explains, “It was always my dad’s dream and intention to make a new 90210 before he passed, so I know he is proud and he would be even more proud if I were a part of it.”
