I was airlifted to UCSD Medical Center in San Diego with a punctured/collapsed lung, 5 broken ribs, broken collarbone, and a broken pelvis. Was in the hospital 6 days and in enormous pain. That was about 16 months ago. My husband sold by bike within two weeks of my crash and I have never ridden again. He bought me a little buggie and I'm much happier with that. I never want my son to see that kind of trauma again. It was traumatic for him - and he was 8. I know Dean likes to dive, but he won't be able to until a Dive Doctor clears him (because of the lung) for 1-2 years.
