Dean–I cannot believe the way you openly used your son–I imagine that the need to present yourself as a caring father has come up only recently as your ex wife’s cooking episodes becomes more in demand–strange that never once have you ever mentioned your son before but oh how moving your new found guilt–but hey that is not for me to judge–so how do you think you’re gonna make out on judgement day–totally disadopting a child–is that a word? You know —it must be really wrong when there isn’t a word to describe it–you have a great day and by the way in the end you reap all that you sown–

Dear Tori,
When I see footage of you speaking about your mother my heart goes out to you. I had a relationship with my mother that was very hard on me. Her love was so conditional. I was able, as a young girl, to jump through the hoops and satisfy her but as I got older I couldn’t keep up with it. She disowned me for thee years when I moved in with my boyfriend. I went through getting gifts left on my door step, brothers bringing gifts over for my kids and so on. She once wrote to me that she really only had two children and not three. The only difference was that she didn’t have a grave to visit to put flowers on.
You are doing a fabulous job with your kids. You know exactly what not to do because of how much your mom has hurt you. I still hurt and my mom has been dead for 10 years.
The pain really never goes away. It is buried deeper sometimes than at others but it will always surface from time to time. Who wouldn’t want unconditional love from their mother. Your girl friend was right.
I wish you the best with your husband and children. Your friends will fill the empty spaces left from what should be filled with your mother’s love. Thank God for true friendships I feel sorry for your mother that she has such hangups or problems that she would let anything keep her from being in her daughter’s life. I have 3 daughter’s and 1 son. Two of my daughters are “step” daughters. There is nothing that will ever stop me from always being there for my children. I cannot comprehend a mother that would walk stay away from her children. I know that you feel the same way.
Blessings to you and Dean and the kids.
Sincerely,
Kim

Dear Tori:
Just remember when you say thing about you family it may hurt them. You need to forgive and move on to heal your heart. I had a hard childhood and when I forgave my mom, I let the demons go. You’ll never have a mom - daughter relationship that you want. Let it go and be the better person. Kill with kindness, let it go. She will come around. I enjoyed your show. So, sad to see Mimi has passed on. We love our dogs to death. The best for your new beginning and sharing your family with us. Give your mom a call and forgive her.
Debbie
